REFINISHED REUPHOLSTERED MCM Teak Svanette Daybed by Ingmar Relling for Ekornes

For sale, we have one of the most well-known Mid Century Modern teak daybeds - Svanette sofa/daybed by Ingmar Relling & Haldor Vic for Svane Mobler/ Ekornes, made in Norway in 1960s.

This piece serves as a comfy 2 seater sofa but also converts into a bed for guests or just for taking a nap. The small table moves up and out of the way to reveal more space for lying down. It also has linen storage underneath.

The daybed has been completely restored to brand-new condition.  Wood parts (teak front, legs, box, beech back support) have been refinished, springs checked, and the sofa has been reupholstered in gorgeous multicolored (yellow, rust, white, black, orange) performance fabric with a vapor barrier by Bernhardt Textiles (new foam included). 

Sofa W 63.5”(50" just seating) x D 29” x Back H 29”(from the floor) x  Seat H 15". When converted to the bed, the sleeping area is 29" x 76"(includes extended cushion area).
