Space-age dining table (or set with the 6 chairs) by a well-known Canadian designer Russell Spanner - rare collector item- Canadian Mid Century Modern classic.
The table has been meticulously stripped, sanded and refinished to brand new condition and ready to grace a contemporary home. It is made of ash wood and finished in walnut stain. The chairs have not been refinished, and they are a much darker brown.
Russell Spanner futuristic designs combined the sharp geometry of splayed and tapered legs and beveled wood edges with the organic look of natural surfaces, and the curved plywood chair backs recall the modernity of airplane wings.
The table has a butterfly leaf and can be easily extended by one person.
