REFINISHED Danish Mid Century Modern Teak Boomerang Extension Coffee Table

For sale, we have this amazing unique vintage Danish Mid-Century Modern boomerang coffee table. This unusual coffee table was designed by Edvard Valentinsen for Samcon as Model 197 for Series 567 in the 1950s.

Beautiful teak wood is formed into a boomerang shape with each end offering a drop leaf extension. It truly looks like an actual boomerang: note how wood grains and patterns match and flow beautifully into one another forming the symmetry at the junction.

The table has 2 drop leaves with 2 sliding mechanisms, so it can increase or decrease in size, making it completely versatile and possible for it to be fully open, half open, or fully closed, based on one's needs, or space.

The table stands on 5 strong tapered legs that are on screws and can be taken off for transportation.

The table was in rather bad shape when we bought it. We completely stripped, sanded, and refinished with Danish oil to great condition with just some blemishes remaining (see a darker spot by the junction).
