REFINISHED Mid Century Modern R.Huber Teak Scoop Tub Sofa XL

For sale, we have an iconic vintage Mid Century Modern sofa, mostly known as Scoop Tub. The highly coveted sofa was designed by R. Huber and crafted in Canada during the 1960s.

Its sculptural fibreglass shell is filled with luxurious foam and intricately upholstered with dozens of panels, hand-sewn details, and deep button tufting. The sofa is super comfortable; it "floats" on a sculptural, solid teak frame. The photos and video do not make justice to the rust with black color fabric; it looks nicer in person.

This sofa was well taken care of; the upholstery has been professionally shampoo and steam-cleaned and shows only minimal wear, and the missing buttons have been expertly reattached.  The teak wood frame has been completely stripped, sanded, and refinished with Danish oil.

 The approximate dimensions are 87" long x 33" deep x 26 h back x 14 high seat.
