For sale is an iconic piece of vintage Mid-Century Modern design: the Grandfather Rocking Chair, model 315 by Ercol. Featuring high steam-bent back and arms made of solid elm, it was designed by Lucian Ercolani and manufactured in the 1960s at their High Wycombe factory.
The rocking chair was in rough shape, so we took it apart, stripped the old finish, sanded it, and refinished it to match your teak Mid-Century Modern furniture. It looks like new, and would look equally nice by the fireplace in a city home or a rustic cottage.
Approximate dimensions: Back Height: 38"x Width: 22.5" (just seating 19") x Depth: 32" x Seat H 12". It is very comfortable with deep low seating. No cushions.
