For sale is a wonderful Mid-Century Modern daybed/ sofa designed by Adrian Pearsall. The contoured frame and sculptured armrests create a wonderful low-slung organic form. As most of Adrian Pearsall designs, the daybed is bold and flamboyant.
We stripped, sanded and refinished the frame, and got new cushions made of gorgeous yellow wool mohair and new foam.
Approximate dimensions: Back Height: 28.5"x Width: 80" (just seating 71.5") x Depth: 31" x Seat Height: 16". Bed depth without the back cushion is D 29"
Nothing speaks luxury like thick mohair plush velvet. Mohair upholstery fabric is made from the hair of the Angora goat. Mohair has a much thicker pile (feel) than velvet, it feels more like a teddy bear, and the more luxurious it is the thicker the pile will be. Upholstery mohair is very durable and resilient, and it is worth every penny as it will look and feel beautiful for a very long time.It is also expensive, with prices from $200 to $600 per yard and more.
