REFINISHED Danish MCM Teak Sideboard HB20 by J. Andersen for Hans Beech 94.5"

This rare, vintage Danish Mid Century Modern teak sideboard (Model HB20) was designed by the renowned Johannes Andersen and produced by Hans Beech in 1968. A masterclass in Scandinavian mid-century design, this piece balances organic form with exceptional functional elegance.

The sideboard features a gently curved silhouette and a distinctive front rail that highlights the exquisite craftsmanship of the era. Its symmetrical layout includes two spacious double-door cabinets—one featuring three internal pull-out drawers and a half-shelf, and the other providing a full-length shelf—complemented by four central dovetailed drawers with sculptural recessed handles. All internal shelves are both adjustable and removable.

This piece has been professionally restored to pristine condition. After correcting all structural issues, it was meticulously stripped, sanded, and refinished with Danish oil, ensuring a flawless, like-new appearance entirely free of imperfections. The sideboard rests on a unique base with arched crossbars, lending a sense of visual lightness to its substantial, high-quality form.

This exquisite and rare Mid Century Modern teak sideboard is made of gorgeous Burmese teak, by the renowned E Gomme / G-Plan factory and designed by V.B. Wilkins in 1966 and was brought from Europe by the original owner. This piece offers not only lots of storage but lots of visual delight that will last.

The sideboard has been stripped, sanded and refinished with Danish oil to almost like new condition with just a few minor blemishes on top.
