REFINISHED Set Mid Century Modern Jan Kuypers Wave Front Solid Wood Dresser & Tallboy by Imperial of Canada
Rare striking storage pieces with a designer swank are made entirely of solid wood (birch or ash). Beautiful sculptural profile, excellent craftsmanship and construction, and full of attitude and personality.
The wave form drawers are the hallmark of this design. Very clean pieces, with enough visual flair to excite, but not overstimulate the eye.
Contemporary line of the Imperial by Dutch-born Jan Kuypers is one of our favorites Canadian MCM line. No surprise that Kuyper is now revered for his contribution to modern Canadian design and his furniture is highly sought by MCM lovers. Made in late 50s – early 60s.
L 52” x D 16.5” x H 32”. Dresser with six deep drawers 6.5”
L 31” x D 16.5” x H 40”. Tallboy chest with four deep drawers 7”.
We stripped, sanded and stained it to match teak and walnut furniture. Topped with Danish oil it is in absolute like new condition.
We also have a matching double bed headboard and footboard (original condition, can be refinished). Inquire if you are looking for a set.
