For sale: a stunning vintage Mid-Century Modern dining room set featuring a Johannes Andersen table for Uldum Møbelfabrik and six "Lis" model dining chairs by Niels Koefoed for Koefoeds Hornslet. Crafted in the 1960s from exquisite rosewood, this set is a rare find for those seeking high-end, top-quality design masterpieces.
Niels Koefoed famously named his chair designs after his children; the "Lis" model is arguably his most elegant. It features a uniquely tapered ladder-back design, sculptural legs, and comfortable leather-upholstered seats. The chairs are remarkably strong, sturdy, and supportive.
The Johannes Andersen dining table is equally impressive, featuring rare built-in dual butterfly extensions and organic styling that perfectly balances curves with clean, straight lines. The craftsmanship is exceptional, resulting in a frame that maintains a light, elegant aesthetic while remaining incredibly robust and visually striking from every angle.
The chairs have been meticulously cleaned and polished to excellent condition. The table has been professionally stripped, sanded, and refinished with clear Osmo LED-UV smart oil to achieve a perfect, like-new finish with no imperfections.
The chairs are compact W 18.75" x SH 17.5" x BH 37" x D 21".
Not extended table is L 63" x W 34" x H 29". Extend with one or both leaves (each 19.5") for a total of L 102".
