For sale, we have this masterfully crafted Danish Mid-Century Modern drop leaf/ gate leg dining table by the iconic Danish duo, Peter Hvidt and Orla Mølgaard Nielsen for France & Søn in Denmark circa 1950s made of solid teak. The table comes with a rare set of 6 teak dining chairs, designed by one of the most well-known Danish designers, Finn Juhl, for France & Søn in the 1960s, model 197. The set is an excellent investment for a forever home.
Note the sophisticated design of sculptural legs and brass fitting, a true eye catcher that also ensures stability. The extra leaves at both ends easily accommodate guests when needed, revealing a spacious oval-shaped top when fully extended.
The table can also be used against the wall with one leaf extended as a small table for 2 or 3. The leaves also drop for optimum space-saving when not in use, adapting effortlessly to any environment.

The chairs feature solid teak frames in medium hues with unique sculpted backrests, nicely tapered legs, and "floating" seats.
The frames have been cleaned and polished, reglued where required, and they are in great, like-new condition.
Current 3D-look upholstery is in good condition with minor blemishes, and is much nicer than it might appear in photos.

How it works.
We source authentic mid-century pieces, check and fix any structural problems, strip with chemical stripper, sand with different grades, oil with Danish oil 5 times or more, waiting to dry and sanding each time. On average, it takes 10-14 days to finish the piece, but some might take even longer. Every piece undergoes rigorous quality checks before reaching your home. If reupholstery is required, it is done by one of a few professional upholsterers we work with.

Yes. We provide detailed measurements, high-resolution photos & videos, and honest condition reports to ensure there are no surprises when your piece arrives. Do not hesitate to ask any questions prior to the purchase.
If the furniture is not what you expected, you can return it within 48 hours of purchase. If we are at fault, we will make it right. You will be refunded the cost of the piece less delivery cost and credit card fee of 4% (Shopify does not refund transaction fees if order is cancelled or refunded). Customized furniture is not returnable. The customer will be responsible for the returning the piece or cost of returning. The furniture is to be the same condition as it left our shop. If significant effort & time were required to prepare the shipment, a refund of up to 40% can be withheld to compensate.
Unlike quick-fix shops, we dismantle every loose joint and re-bond them with modern adhesives. This ensures a decade of structural stability.
We use period-correct donor wood to fix damaged veneer. These seamless repairs maintain the original grain flow for an invisible finish.
