For sale, we have a set of 4 uniquely shaped beautiful vintage Danish Mid Century Modern teak dining chairs by Arne Vodder, model Ella.  Sculptural, strong, and sturdy frames are made of solid teak in warm hues with sculpted blade profiles. These are very comfortable chairs.

The chairs have been taken apart, their frames have been completely stripped, sanded, and refinished with Danish oil; joints tightened where required. You only need to choose the fabric for the new upholstery (choose from ours or bring your own). Please note, the photos with upholstered chairs are of a different set.

As a graduate student in architecture trained by Finn Juhl, Vodder made his mark in the 1960s, when modern design had gained wide acceptance, particularly in the business world. Accordingly, many of Vodder’s chairs are quiet in form — projecting an air of sturdiness and strength, rather than avant-garde styling.
