6 REFINISHED Danish MCM Teak Shield Back Chairs by Arne Hovmand-Olsen

For sale, we have a set of 6 gorgeous Danish Mid Century Modern teak shield back dining chairs designed by Arne Hovmand-Olsen in the 1960s. Their frames are made of solid African teak wood with signature details like wooden shield backs floating on brass balls and handles that allow for the gentleman to pull out the chair for the guests.  These are a rare version with tall upholstered backs which makes them exceptionally comfortable.

We dismantled the chairs and got the frames refinished to almost new condition (a few minimal blemishes that can be seen on very close inspection).

Current velvet-type upholstery is definitely useable but does do anything to the chairs We can help to reupholster so the chairs are truly exceptional.  Add $110 for the new foam and labor per chair, and bring the fabric or choose from ours. The last 3 photos are for inspiration.

These chairs are rather compact: W 19" x D 22" x BH 39.5" x SH 18.5"
