For sale, we have a lovely set of 4 classicly sleek Danish Mid Century Modern dining or side chairs with simple lines and high-quality construction, finger joinery, tapered legs, and curved back supports. These beautiful streamlined vintage chairs feature dazzling solid rosewood frames in dark brown hues and as all well-constructed MCM chairs, they are also comfortable and nice to look at.
We cleaned and polished the frames, reglued where required, and the chairs are like new again. Their upholstery was dated and not quite clean, so we reupholstered them in gorgeous wool mohair upholstery fabric. The color belongs to cool pale green seafoam / gray color family.
Approximate dimensions: seat height 18.5”x back height 36” x width 17.5”x depth 21”.
Mohair upholstery is a very plush, durable, and resilient velvet-type upholstery fabric that is shorn from Angora goats. It is easy to clean, resistant to moisture-wicking, stretching, and creasing, and inherently flame resistant. It is also expensive, with prices from $200 to $600 per yard and more.
