For sale we have a gorgeous vintage Mid-Century Modern ceramic table lamp by Maurice Chalvignac.

The exquisitely shaped body is glazed in various shades of brown, orange and white with a foamy effect. The lamp comes with the original string shade with an inner fibreglass shade.

This MCM lamp is in superb vintage condition and work as it should. Three - way switch.

Height with the shade is 25.5". Shade D 10.5"/5".

Maurice Chalvignac is well known mid century modern artist and ceramist who migrated to Canada in 1957 at the height of the Scandinavian influence in design and artistry. Born in Paris in 1927, he studied at the Ecole des Beaux Arts and is internationally recognized for his pottery and his artwork.

He is known for his West German and Danish aesthetic, in particular his development and use of what is known as 'fat lava' glazing. It includes tones of tawny brown, beige, white overlay and a foamy effect that overcoats his pieces.
